Biography

Regis Lebre, originally from Fortaleza, moved to Rio de Janeiro as a purple belt. In Rio he completed his journey to black belt under two of BJJ's greatest modern innovators, the legendary Royler Gracie and six times World Champion, Saulo Ribeiro. For four years Regis studied with Royler and Grandmaster Helio Gracie. He then left to help Saulo Ribeiro, himself a black belt under Helio Gracie, establish his own academy. Eventually, Regis earned his black belt from Saulo and Royler. His years spent as one of Saulo's main training partners, with and without the gi, have well prepared him to stand out as one of America's top instructors.
